Why is my pump making so much noise?

It could be that the pump's wet end basket is full, or that the filter is full of dirt. Although these features are taken care of by a technician on your scheduled visits, there is something you can do until they arrive.

Turn the pump off and open the wet end and clear the debris from the basket. Replace basket, seal the lid tightly, and start the pump again. If the problem persists, try backwashing the filter, but make sure your pool has enough water before and after the backwash.
